Going from A to B.
Going from A to B and diversifying the points B.
Bringing back the B inspiration to A.
Being forced to leave A.
Being un-authorised to leave A.
Being un-authorised to go back to A.
Being green and choosing to leave A in a slow path… or not to leave.
If artists and cultural professionals’ mobility should be “an integral part of the regular work life of artists and other cultural professionals”*, there is a multitude of situations faced and/or imposed to artists and cultural professionals while being or willing to be mobile. This impacts the types of art works created in different contexts which are not always their chosen destination. This also creates a form of tension between two worlds, the one that can choose and the one where decisions are imposed by political, economic, social and environmental reasons.
Through the experience of On the Move for the past 6 years, Marie Le Sourd will share mobilities’ stories and the impacts they can have on aesthetics and moreover shifts in perceptions.

About The Innovative Leadership Network (ILN)
“Artists as leaders of change”
ILN is a Nordic cross-disciplinary platform working towards enabling artists to become leaders, developing innovative methods for artistic research activities, as well as developing new ideas in relation to rethinking institutions, increasing audience engagement, investigating new presentation formats, tackling political & societal issues or working on sustainable practices… in order to challenge status quo.
The platform proposes fruitful exchanges between Nordic & European artists, researchers and creative workers from the performing arts field through networking events, lectures & thematic workshops, and open seminars that will take place in Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway from April 2018 to October 2020. Regular online publications will feed the reflection and build cross-sectoral knowledge.
INL is one strand of an ambitious Artist’s Research Lab and Residency Programme developed by Dansehallerne and its partners.
