Declan Whitaker / Kunsthal Charlottenborg

Choreography in Action

Declan Whitaker (UK) / For The Time Being

We have developed an appetite for immediacy, satisfaction and overstimulation. Duration is dead: In a world of increased technological dependence and decreased attention span, what are we willing to give our time to? Working with two physical dancers and one digital dancer, For The Time Being is a contradictory investigation into probing the borders of boredom and providing people with ‘what they want’: brevity.
For Choreography in Action a work in progress will be shown followed by a discussion.
The research for For The Time Being was supported by DanceXchange, Birmingham and Arts Council England.
